Yep... I am a week late posting these... but better late than never!
Let me start by saying... WHY IS FAIR TIME THE HOTTEST TIME OF THE YEAR?!?!?!?
Omgosh...I was drenched the whole weekend.. the kids where miserable for the most part, which stunk because the heat really cut out some of the activities we had planned on doing! BUT... it is fair time.. and kids always seem to have a good time.
This was the first year that Madison entered in the Open Class catogories... she did really good for her first time!
Decorated Cupcakes.... received Grand Champion ribbon and $5.00!!!
Weaved Potholder...received Grand Champion ribbon and $5.00
Madison also entered a marker drawing of a clown (no pic of that.. what was I thinking?!?) and a pencil drawing of a horse (which I thought was really good!) She didn't place on these, but had a fun time making them!
Friday afternoon we spent some time at the kid races... the kids wracked up lots of quarters and dimes in the bike, foot, sack, water balloon and turtle races. I was really proud of Syd this year... it was the first time she didn't stand on the starting line and bawl during the whole race!!! YaY!
As you can see... it was another scorcher...
This year the girls and boys where combined... so the twins were pretty proud whenever they crossed the finish line ahead of any BOYS!!!
Saturday morning was the Parade on Main Street....the girls won FIRST PLACE in the atv catagories.. they had a blast!
Callie and Abbie got so excited.. they threw out all their candy to the first group of kids on the side of the road! LOL
Madison was also known as "Freckles the clown"...
And here is "Polka" and "Dot"....
Later that afternoon.. the girls entered their first ATV competiion... I was really suprised how confindent they seemed to be and they LOVED it! They were all in the 10 and under catagory... they raced in 3 different catagories... barrels, flags and poles (their favorite!) Madison got 1st place and Abbie got 3rd in each event. I think this is something that they would like to do more often! All together...they girls made $21.00 from racing... they liked that and quickly spent it on cool drinks and snacks afterwards!!LOL
We are FAIRED OUT and are glad that life is now back to normal!!!
... for our friends!!!
Come and support our newest business in Longton... they will be offering Hunts Brothers Pizza, a full salad bar, grilled sandwiches and a variety of sweet goodies! Later on down the road, I believe a large arcade room will be up and going!
As a mother of 4... with lots of daily laundry and a constant stream of chores... I am THRILLED to have such a yummy meal option on those "draggin' my rear" nights! I hope you all get to experience THE LIONS DEN soon... and I wish my good friends....Justin and Belinda... lots of happy cookin' days ahead!!!!

We did.....
We spent the morning searching the back roads looking for turtles! Yes.. it is indeed that time of the year again.... FAIR!!!!
The girls have always had to "borrow" a turtle at the famous turtles races, so this year we were determined to bring our own! After miles of searching... we returned home with an empty box. Just minutes later... kyler showed up with 3 little green fellas in the back of his truck....wish I had known.. would of saved some gas $$$$!!!!!
The girls were thrilled and made a nice little pen in the backyard.. complete with a "cave", branches, pool area, buffet of tomatoes and lettuce and a huge neighborly toad that come and goes as he pleases... he must be the "landlord"!!!LOL
Syd has really enjoyed watching them throughout the day... as long a there is NO TOUCHING!!! The twins, on the other hand, can't seem to keep their hands off of them! Easy pets...here today.. gone tomorrow.. just the kind I like!
I have to admit, they are "sort" of cute... any resemblance?!?!?!?!?
Ok girls... I am finally done! I enjoyed playing around with different textures and post-processing... I hope I captured your fun and unique "style!!!
Maybe we can get together another time.....bring some polka-dot pastel shirts and hairbows... just to make your parents happy!!!LOL

Yep.. thats right... had a session tonight! It was all just for fun and I did manage to loose about 10 pounds from sweating my rear off in the humid outside!!!
My niece (Lizzie) and cousin (Heaven) were good sports and I hope they enjoyed their moments in fame! (I don't think to many people saw us...hee-hee!... even though Elizabeth had to greet everyone she saw!)
Here are just a couple total random shots... I will post the rest in a slideshow soon!
